Business operating systems with built-in quality

Quality philosophies have been superseding each other over the past two decades. From ISO 9000, TQM, Malcom Baldrige, and USK to EFQM - just to mention a few. Process theories developed in their wake and it became popular to define company operations in terms of processes. In connection with the spread of the internet, people proclaimed BPR, Business Process Re-engineering! Have these only been management trends or have we derived benefits from all of these resource guzzling and costly quality assurance undertakings? It goes without saying that they have boosted quality in our companies even if quality occasionally almost became an end in itself.

What can Management Partners provide?

We have encountered all this and learned along the way. Today we can design business operating systems based on common sense while at the same time incorporating all of the good ideas that lead to built-in quality and continuous improvement. We can assist you in establishing, improving or revising your business operating systems through the balanced application of a variety of available methodologies such as:

  • ISO 9001, well known certificate of quality.
  • ISO 14001, a system for guiding procedures for the environmental work of companies and organisations.
  • TQM, Total Quality Management, a model for quality assurance that does not involve steering via regulations, goals or results but encourages quality in every aspect of everything the company undertakes.
  • Utmärkelsen Svensk Kvalitet , (USK) is a Swedish quality award given on the basis of an evaluation process aiming to identify and bring attention to good examples among Swedish businesses.
  • EFQM, European Foundation for Quality Management, a European quality model to measure "business excellence".
  • BPR, Business Process Re-engineering, a methodology for utilising the potential offered by modern IT systems.
  • CMM, Capability Maturity Model, an advanced quality assurance model originally developed for NASA's Apollo project.
  • QFD, Quality Function Deployment, a structured approach for the analysis of product characteristics.
  • QPD, Quality Policy Deployment, a dialogue for reaching concordance between visions and day-to-day work.
  • BSC, Balanced Score Card, a structured methodology for defining and dissecting objectives.
  • Benchmarking, a method to compare operations against the best in the field.
