How do you form a winning team?Group development, or teambuilding as it is also known, is often regarded as synonymous with swinging from vines or facing other hardships. That's not the way we see it. For us, teambuilding is a structured means to develop a group of people into a unit so that they are able to tackle their tasks with greater effectiveness. Who benefits?Teambuilding can be conducted with any group that is to work together. It could be newly-formed groups who want to get off to a good start or existing constellations who, for one reason or another, want to develop their collaboration. This can apply to management groups, project groups, working groups, nursing teams or other groups. Teambuilding provides the group with deeper insight into group processes, dynamics and development as well as the individual's role in these contexts. This is important since, in many groups, a great deal of energy is lost due to uncertainty about one's own role and the roles of others in the group as well as open and hidden conflicts. Using experience-based learning we work with concepts such as personal insight, communication, commitment, responsibility, motivation, trust, feedback and personal development. We look more closely at group development theories and link these to experiences. What are the expected results?Teambuilding enhances the ability to co-operate and increases efficiency.
